Prohibited Items

 

Adult-only

Following feedback from the Tyrox community, we do not allow pornography, adult videos/DVD’s, or adult sex toys to be sold on Tyrox. We also do not accept ads offering prostitution/ escort services.

 

Alcohol

We don’t allow any alcohol to be sold on Tyrox due to age restrictions and licensing laws.

 

Counterfeit, Replica and Trademarked Items

Counterfeits, unauthorised replicas (such as counterfeit watches, handbags, or other accessories) or unauthorised copies (such as copies of software programmes, video games, music albums, movies, television programmes, or photographs) are not permitted on Tyrox. Unauthorised copies include (but are not limited to) copies that are pirated, duplicated, backed-up or bootlegged. It is illegal to sell unauthorised copies of media.

Guideline: If the product you're selling bears the name or logo of a company, but it wasn't made or endorsed by that company, don’t post it on Tyrox.

 

Drugs and Drug paraphernalia

The safety of Tyrox users is extremely important to us. As well as drugs banned under legislation, we also do not allow items which can be used to consume drugs.

Please note that, while it is a legal substance, for user safety reasons from January 2010, we do not allow the sale of Mephedrone, even if sold as plant food.

 

Endangered or Protected animals or animal parts

We do not accept the sale of animals that are protected species either by UK or EU laws. We do not accept the sale of any animal parts, whether protected species or not.

 

Firearms and Ammunition

Safety concerns as well as national and international laws mean that no guns or ammunition can be sold on Tyrox. We also do not allow airguns, even those legally available.

 

Fireworks

We don’t allow fireworks to be sold. This includes fireworks available in high street stores.

 

Human Parts and Remains

Humans, the human body or any human body parts may not be listed on Tyrox. Examples of prohibited items include, but are not limited to: organs, bone, blood, waste, sperm, and eggs.

 

Lottery Tickets

Due to laws in the UK and Republic of Ireland, we do not allow lottery tickets to be sold on Tyrox.

 

Multi-level Marketing, Pyramid, Matrix and Trading Schemes

Feedback from the Tyrox community has told us that users do not find these ads useful or relevant. As a result, we do not allow these ads on Tyrox.

 

Personal information or Mailing Lists

We do not accept the sale of bulk email, Internet Protocol (IP), Instant Messenger (IM), or mailing lists that contain names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal identifying information. Any tools or software designed predominantly to send unsolicited commercial messages (UCE or "spam") will not be permitted.

 

Prescription Drugs and Materials

We do not allow any prescription drugs to be sold on Tyrox. This includes "over the counter" items.

 

Stolen Items

Tyrox works closely with law enforcement authorities. The sale of stolen property on our site is strictly prohibited and we will do everything we can to support the police in achieving successful conviction of any offenders.

 

Tobacco and Tobacco Products

Tobacco is controlled by law. We do not allow any cigarettes, cigars or loose tobacco to be sold on Tyrox.

 

Train Tickets

It is illegal to resell any rail tickets in the UK (including Eurostar tickets), unless you are an official distributor. We therefore do not allow any postings advertising the sale of these tickets. Please contact the relevant rail carriers directly for information on exchange options available to you.

 

Unlocking Software

Software to help "unlock" any electrical items is not allowed to be sold on Tyrox.

 

Used underwear

The sale of used underwear (briefs, knickers, thongs, boxer shorts, nappies etc) is not permitted on Tyrox.

 

Weapons & Knives

Safety concerns as well as national laws mean that no weapons or knives can be sold on Tyrox. This includes historical ornamental items e.g. samurai swords or WW1 bayonets.
